The power delivery shouldn't be an issue as I'm running a high end Platinum PSU with 750W from BeQuiet. I'll check the power loads of the system, but I don't think it's an issue really. Apparently specific load level creates some sort of coil whine inside my PSU which wasn't present at lower load level before.

Mar 27, 2017 · I had coil whine when using my spare PSU (I am pretty sure it is a Corsair HX 750) but then got none when I swapped it out for my EVGA G2 PSU. Very often a PSU can be the reason for coil whine but not always.

Does my PSU have coil whine? Troubleshooting I recently got the Corsair CX550M PSU, and I noticed in some games it will make a noticeable buzzing sound and sometimes make a quieter clicking sound at idle.

What I did do is use my old GTX 1080 FE in both the old computer and new computer (so also old PSU and new PSU) and it never experienced any coil whine. As for the list of PSUs by EVGA to watch out for, interesting that they pretty much listed every major power supply company but themselves.
